This book presents a vast research about Brazilian gastronomy and its regional food.
Its chapters are divided by region and each one presents a glossary explaining some traditional beverages, recipes, and ingredients.
The project was conceived upon the creation of several linocutting illustrations of some of those treats. The roughness of this technique matches the chosen typeface, Chronic, created by the Brazilian studio PitassilgoPrints.
The purpose of this rustic style was to remind the cordel literature – booklets with folk poems and song lyrics that often came with woodcut illustrations.
